Pigmentation or brown spots are the most common signs of aging.
They go hand in hand with hormonal changes and all the “rock and roll” symptoms associated with menopause.
The “evil” brown marks will show up on our beautiful and well maintained face usually around summer, when long walks on a beach, pool parties and outdoor get togethers are in full swing.
If you followed my advice (from previous posts) and used over-sized summer hats and natural sun screens but still discovered few brown spots mysteriously show up on your face – do not panic.
Today you will discover the ancient techniques by Geishas used to keep their complexion bright and even
They are well know for their porcelain-like skin and youthful look even after they pass menopause age. (Did geisha’s have menopause?)
Do you want to know what their secret was? – Natural Acid.
Let`s start with the fact that every time we use natural acid on our face it will lighten our skin and fade some spots and freckles away.
But how do we know what natural acids to use? Notice I said natural when mentioning Acid.
Most cosmetologists use chemical peels to achieve quick results but I have to mention that chemical peels are harmful and can dry out our faces. Some creams with bleaching ingredients contain dangerous, carcinogenic ingredients and can trigger melanomas or other types of skin or blood cancer.
Natural Acid can be found in Grapefruits, Lemons, Lime, Cilantro, Tomatoes, Apples, Berries, Strawberries. Any time you get ready to indulge any of this delicious fruits do not forget to apply some on your face. But to brighten our skin even more I encourage you to try this ancient mask.
Mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon Potato Starch and one teaspoon of fine sea salt.
If you have dry and sensitive skin add one teaspoon of plain yogurt, if you have oily skin you can add a few drops of lemon juice.
Apply this mask in three layers by applying each layer after the previous one dries. Keep the full mask on your face for 25 minutes. Repeat every other day for 10 days. Keep the mixture refrigerated. Use a natural moisturizer and eye cream after you wash and pat dry your skin.
